SPRINGFASHIONWEEK! [FW Spring 2012, Part 1]

This outfit by Christian Cota is quite possibly my favorite from all of fashion week. It has that whole 'all-white' trend going, and yet it adds bright blue accents throughout the outfit. The bracelets, the shoes...gorgeous, all of it. The headband, though? Not feeling it.

The jumpsuit on Costello Tagliapietra's runway-bold, but so beautiful. Something so mod and yet exotic about it. Amazing!

The pieces (especially this one) from the runways of Cynthia Rowley, I foresee being on many red carpets and socialite events this coming spring and summer. A beautiful, timeless looking collection.

The whole edgy-rockstar look is out, but Helmut Lang's sleek white top and black hard-edge bottom/shoes/bag...love it!

Jason Wu's collection was so beautiful, and although bold and unique, I can see myself wearing a lot of the pieces that were on it's runways.

Part 2 coming soon!

Celebrity Style Saturday

I see a lot of bold choices this week, some which work and some that look so ridiculous that they're amusing.

These Girls Have a Sense of Style:
Emma Roberts
She never fails with her outfits! Although I really don't like the dress, the way her hair is done and adding shiny black pumps just makes it work.

Jessica Alba
These days wearing flared jeans in any form is a huge fashion risk. But with a sleek black blazer, high heels, and a super cute top, Jessica pulls it off.

Jessie J
Sequins aren't in right now, and haven't been for a while, but she makes them work! The necklace adds a very vintage look to the dress, which I think is what makes this look work. Love it!

Sara Paxton
I think everyone can agree that we want to go shop the mall and find an outfit exactly like this, yes? Perfect.

Some Fashion Risks Just Aren't Worth It...
Blake Lively
It's surprising to put her on the Worst Dressed list. She has an amazing sense of style, but this lime dress not only looks unflattering, but washes out her hair and skin and is just plain ugly, agreed?

Chloe Sevigny
 No comment...

Drew Barrymore
I can see what she was going for; that tucked in loose top, boho-vintage log skirt...but unfortunately, she didn't pull it off.

Fergie
The perfect example of trying to hard to make a 'young, hip' outfit.

Which were your favorites of this week? Comment below!

Celebrity Style Saturday

 It's Back!

Take Notes on These Stylish Stars ;)

Alyson Michalka totally rocked the Grecian Goddess look. The peachy shade looked great with her slightly tan skin and bleached blond curls. A hard look to pull off, but she looks gorgeous.

Although less classy, Leighton Meester looked glamorous with a sequin detailed mini dress. The shoes definitely went with the outfit. I love it!

Malin Akerman took casual-chic to a whole new level with a super baggy knit top...but pairing it with skinny black jeans and sleek black boots made this look super cute.

Loving this outfit, Mollie King! Not a fan of those shoes, but with the beige mini skirt and tank this look is great.

Cross These Outfits Out of Your Notebook ;)
Amanda Bynes
The rest of the outfit may have looked okay, but those shoes are ridiculous! And maybe some fashion genius would have been able to pull them off, but Amanda...this outfit is a disaster!

Brooklyn Decker
What does Brooklyn Decker have? A great figure. What does she also have? Dresses that take away that previous thing.

Whitney Port
A baggy sweater can look really cute. In fact, I can think of more than ten ways to wear that sweater in a chic outfit. But with even baggier ripped jeans and flip flops? No.

I want their makeup artist!
And yet again she's on this list. Something about the orange lips + cheeks (a combination that usually looks terrible) looks very unique but in a great way. Matched with those flowers, it's a perfect farewell to summer days.

Ashley Benson
Smokey Eyes are hard to pull off, especially with pale skin and light blond hair. But this dramatic look is gorgeous on her!

Chanel Iman
IN LOVE WITH THAT HAIR! Especially with the lighter tips...gorgeous!

...And A Motivation Arises...

I have not checked this blog in 1 day and now that I sneak a peak, up it goes by two blogspot suscribers.
Just when I was feeling unmotivated and uninspired to blog about fashion...

My amazing readers turned it around!
250 blogspot followers in under 4 months...
You know, blogging is always fun. But knowing that my posts actually get read, that my words aren't invisible, and that my inspirations can become other fashion-lover's inspirations? That may well be my favorite aspect of fashion blogging.

I know that school starting provides the excuse I need to get away with neglecting this blog, but I do miss writing here. And much as I am piled with assignments and classes... well, I definitely will find time to write on this blog.

The notebook is not out of pages, so to speak.

xoxo
